Working on an FN 509 or FNS Compact? This disassembly fixture solves the biggest headache in taking these pistols apart: getting that stubborn unlocking block pin out. For $25, it’s the most direct fix you can put on your bench.
This Apex fixture holds your FN 509 or FNS Compact frame steady so you can line up a pin punch exactly where it needs to go. That unlocking block pin is the tightest, most frustrating part of the disassembly process — this tool keeps the frame from shifting and lets you hit the pin square, every time. No more wrestling, no more cussing, no more mangled pins.
What it does:
- Locks the frame in place for precise punch alignment
- Specifically designed for the FN 509 and FNS Compact
- Solid steel construction — built to take a beating
- 100% Made in the USA (Phoenix, AZ)
Fitment / Specs:
- Compatible with FN 509 (all variants) and FNS Compact
- Not for FNS Full-Size or other FN models
- Requires a solid surface for use — vise anvil, concrete floor, or a workbench leg area
- Standard 1/16” to 3/32” punch recommended
Real talk on usage:
- Use this only on a rock-solid surface. A vise or concrete floor works. Do not use on a kitchen table, countertop, or any flimsy surface — those will flex and you’ll bend your frame.
- If you’ve already mangled the front unlocking block pin (face isn’t flat), this fixture will not fix it. You’ll need to dress the pin face flat first before trying to drive it out.
- We cannot guarantee this fixture prevents frame damage. It gives you the best possible shot at a clean pin removal, but if the pin is already trashed or you’re using it on a wobbly surface, that’s on you.
This is a no-nonsense tool for people who work on their own guns and want to stop wasting time fighting a pin. It’s cheap, it’s tough, and it does one thing well. If you’re buying in bulk for a shop or armorer’s bench, grab a handful — they’re small, they stack, and your customers will thank you.
Made in Phoenix, AZ. No frills, no hype. Just a solid fixture
