The Apex Optic Mount is a direct-fit steel mounting plate for the FNX-45 Tactical. It’s machined from a solid billet of steel and finished with a black oxide coating. This mount is built for shooters who want a secure, repeatable zero without paying extra for frills they don’t need.
What it fits:
This mount is specifically designed for the FNX-45 Tactical models that come with a factory optic cut from the factory. It is not for standard FNX-45 pistols or other models.

- Steiner MPS
- Lead & Steel Pandora PB-3
Key specs & fitment details:
- Material: Billet steel – no cast parts, no aluminum that can strip out over time.
- Finish: Black oxide – low glare, corrosion resistant, and matches the factory slide finish.
- Installation: Mounts directly to the factory slide cut. No filing, fitting, or extra plates required.
- Hardware included: Comes with a set of optic plate mounting screws. Thread locker is pre-applied to save you a step. If you lose the Apex screws, you can substitute the short 5-40 threaded screws that come with your FNX-45 Tac from the factory.
Important note for Steiner MPS users:
If you plan to run a Steiner MPS optic, Apex strongly recommends using their Apex Super Clamp. This clamp expands the clamping range of the MPS optic for a more secure fit. Without it, the MPS may not clamp tight enough on the mount.
