This Apex 5.00″ slide is a direct replacement for your factory FN 509 slide. It comes stripped, so you reuse your existing FN 509 internal parts, extractor, and firing pin. This keeps your cost down if you already own a 509. If you need a full set of internals, you can order a Slide Completion Kit directly from Apex, which they will install before shipping. Otherwise, source factory FN parts from Midwestgunworks.com or Brownells.com. You will also need a 5″ barrel.

Two serration options at the same price:
- Classic: Standard straight serrations front and rear
- Lightning Bolt: Angled, aggressive serrations for positive grip
Ported slide option (if selected): The slide ports are cut to match Apex’s ported barrel. This lets gas escape upward, reducing muzzle rise for faster follow-up shots. An Apex ported barrel is required for the ports to work as designed. You can also run a standard factory 5″ barrel or an Apex non-ported barrel in this slide – the ports just won’t vent.

Optic mounting notes: The RMR cut is machined for direct mounting – no adapter plate needed. Use the screws from your optic manufacturer. If no torque spec is provided, set them to 20 inch-pounds maximum to avoid stripping.
