Wide Flat Trigger – Machined from billet steel and inspired by the work of the late Jim Garthwaite, this trigger features a .31” wide, smooth, flat face with rounded edges. The width allows your finger to sit lower on the trigger face, giving you better leverage on the pivoting system. That means more consistent finger placement, improved comfort, and a more positive feel shot after shot. The trigger is finished with ArmorLube™ Duplex DLC — a matte black coating that stands up to corrosion, abrasion, and wear better than standard DLC finishes. It’s built to last through heavy range use and bulk ammo sessions.

Tank Tread Hammer – Based on the classic 1911 Commander hammer design, this hammer adds Apex’s distinctive cocking serrations for a secure grip when thumb-cocking. It includes an over-cocking limit pad that keeps the hammer loop from contacting the inside of the beavertail on OPS Variant pistols during cycling. The hammer hook geometry is precision-matched to the included Hi-Power Balanced Sear, so you don’t have to stone or alter any engagement surfaces. The result is a clean, crisp trigger break with reduced overtravel and zero trigger over-run.

Hi-Power Balanced Sear & Springs – The sear’s nose profile is engineered to match the hammer hook exactly, eliminating the guesswork and hand-fitting. The sear lever spring replaces the factory spring to improve pull weight while maintaining factory drop safety values. The included firing pin spring and hammer spring work together to further refine the trigger pull. These springs must be installed as part of the kit for proper function.
