This Apex Optic Mount is built to attach ACRO footprint optics directly to your GLOCK® Gen 6 Optic Ready slide. It’s machined from a solid billet of steel, then finished with a black PVD coating for real corrosion resistance. No coatings to flake off, no shortcuts. The mount and screws are made by Apex in Arizona — plain and simple.
Here’s why the steel matters. A 9mm slide sees about 3000g of acceleration every time you pull the trigger. Aluminum mounts (6061 and 7075) we tested tore right off at the rail base after a few thousand rounds. That’s not reliable. Steel holds up to that force, shot after shot. For a slide-ride optic mount, reliability is the only thing that counts — so Apex uses steel. Period.
The mount includes a damper that sits in the cavity under the front. It soaks up vibration and closes the light gap between the mount locking key and the slide. Less movement, better contact, more consistent zero.

Fitment note: This mount is for GLOCK Gen 6 slides with the factory optic cut. It will not work on earlier generations or non-optics-ready slides. Confirm your slide cut before ordering.
Important for Steiner MPS users: For first-gen Steiner MPS optics with the original factory clamp, we recommend using the Apex Super Clamp. Standard mounting may not hold correctly without it.
